Conducting interviews
Once a plan is scheduled, the interviewee receives a link and a passcode. They don't need a Wissenstifter account; the link and passcode are all they need.
Starting an interview
- The interviewee opens the link you shared.
- They enter the passcode. (If it's wrong, they're prompted to try again.)
- Wissy, the AI assistant, welcomes them and begins straight away by asking the first question.
- Only the topics and a progress bar are shown as the interviewee moves through them, so they can see roughly where they are. The full guideline and its subtopics are not displayed.
The interview
The interviewee talks with Wissy in a chat. Wissy asks questions from the guideline and follows up based on the answers. For each message the interviewee can switch between:
- Text - type the answer.
- Voice - record the answer as audio.
If sending fails, a retry option appears.
After the interview
When the interview is complete, the answers are processed into a structured summary. The interviewee is asked to review and approve that summary first: they confirm it reflects what they meant before it goes any further. This is the interviewee's side of a two-step approval.
The summary then appears under Knowledge documents, where your team reviews and approves it from the planner's side. See Knowledge documents for that second step.
