Knowledge documents
A knowledge document is the structured summary produced from an interview. Reviewing and approving it is how raw answers become trusted, searchable knowledge.
Open Knowledge documents from the sidebar to see them all. The table shows each document's interviewee, group, and its generation, indexing, and approval status. A red dot on the sidebar means at least one document is waiting for your review.
Reviewing and editing
Open a document to review it. For each topic from the interview guideline you'll see a generated summary in an editor you can refine:
- Edit the text directly to correct or improve the summary.
- Save your changes (this is only enabled once you've made an edit).
- Reset to discard your edits and return to the generated text.
While a summary is still being produced you'll see a generating state; if generation fails, a Retry option lets you try again.
TIP
By providing an additional title and description for the document, you help the AI understand how it relates to the interviewee, which improves how it is surfaced and answered in Chat.
Approval
Knowledge documents go through an approval flow before they're published:
- Awaiting interviewee approval
- Awaiting reviewer approval
- Published
When it's your turn, use Approve & Publish to finalize the document. Once published, its contents become part of the knowledge base and can be found through Chat.
WARNING
Editing a document after the interviewee has approved it invalidates their approval. They must approve again via their anonymous link before it can be published. This guarantees two people always agreed to the exact same version of the document.
Exporting
From the document you can download a copy for sharing outside the app:
- Download Word
The side panel also shows interview details: when it was conducted, how long it took, the group, and related tags.
